Leg & Arm Lymphoedema, Lipoedema, Venous insufficiencies, Heavy legs, bloating, swelling, pins & needles, restless legs, painful legs, scares, burns, swelling due to injury etc.
9 treatments in 2 weeks for Primary & Secondary Lymphoedema - £315.00
Week one – 6 MLD & CDT treatments – 1 hour
Week two – 3 MLD & CDT treatments – 1 hour
There is a one off charge for bandaging material, these can be washed and reused again.
Bandaging Material for arm £25.00
Bandaging Material for ½ leg £25.00
Bandaging Material for full leg £30.00
The treatments in week 1 & 2 consist of Lymphatic Drainage and compression bandaging, nail and foot care and gentle exercise.
Phase 2:
Your legs are measured for compression stockings which should be worn daily to prevent excessive lymph collection. Compression stockings can be ordered via your GP.
Week 1 to 4 - weekly 30 min treatments £20.00
What to expect?
During the first 2 weeks of intense treatment, you will find that your measurement and skin will loosen and you will loose a lot of fluid in the limb. Lymphoedema is a chronic ailment and will not go away but it can be controlled by Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), compression stockings and exercise.
Diet is important to maintain body weight and to avoid obesity. You will enhance your quality of life. After Phase 1 supportive compression stockings will keep the build up of lymph under control.
What do you do afterwards:
Drink lots of water to get rid of the toxins in the body.
Exercise the extremities (ie legs, toes, arm, fingers)
Ensure that you don’t get any infections due to bites, scratches, cuts etc
