Kinesiology

Progressive Kinesiology at Decoy Farm from September 2008 with Lorraine Wildbore

Kinesiology Background

Kinesiology is the study of muscles and movement in the body. It combines Chinese acupuncture, meridians and energy balancing with Western muscle testing.

Kinesiology was discovered by George Goodheart an American Chiropractor in the 1960’s. He found a link between meridian energy flow with muscles and organs and developed corrective treatments this system he called “Applied Kinesiology”.  Since this there have been a number of different systems including Progressive Kinesiology. How does it work?

Kinesiology treats the whole person mentally, physically, chemically and energetically.  If just one system is out of balance it can affect the others.

Each major organ and system of the body is connected to a channel of energy also known as a meridian. A kinesiologist identifies blockages by applying a slight pressure to a contracted muscle. Depending on the response the muscle gives the kinesiologist makes the appropriate correction. This may include the massage of reflex points, flower remedies, emotional stress release and nutritional changes.

Kinesiology gives each person a tailor made therapy session.

What is involved in each session?

Before any treatment is given to a new client the kinesiologist will take a detailed medical history, and any medication being taken  is recorded. The kinesiologist will not ask you to stop taking any mediation, this is to be agreed by your doctor only. Each session lasts up to one hour, and the number of treatments will vary according to the condition being treated.

Which conditions does kinesiology treat?

Kinesiology treats many conditions here are just a few: Allergies (food/additive sensitivities), Asthma, candida (thrush), skin conditions (eczema/psoriasis) , fatigue, ME, PMT, menopause, headaches, digestive disorders and stress.

You don’t need to have a specific problem some people like to have an M.O.T.
