Reiki (Usui)

Rei-Ki (*pronounced Ray-Key) are tow Japanese words. The first (Rei) meaning free passage and the second (ki) meaning Universal life force (energy) – so collectively, Reiki means the free passage of Universal Energy. It can provide real enrichment to your life.

Reiki is the name given to a system of natural healing which originated thousands of years ago in ancient Tibet. Today there are many Reiki Masters who have been trained in the traditions passed down from master to student continuing to spread this sacred wisdom to all who seek it.

It is possible for healing to take place on any level of being: physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. Acute injuries can be helped to heal very quickly but more chronic illnesses take longer. The healing spreads out like ripples on a mill pond to those who are close as they can see that the suffering is eased. There is no belief system attached to Reiki, so people of all faiths can use this unique system for healing themselves and others – it is often those who try to disprove it who have the most profound healing experiences. Reiki is completely safe for all to use.

Reiki can be given at any time or place, as no special equipment is necessary. The energy is drawn by the recipient through a channel in the practitioner. This channel is initially opened up by a Reiki Master in a process called “Reiki Attunement”. The recipient unconsciously draws the energy to the areas of most imbalance within them bringing mind, body and soul back into alignment.

Reiki restores balance in one’s life and greatly enhances all other forms of treatment – both orthodox and complementary. Many therapists are leaning to integrated Reiki into their treatments as it not only amplifies the effectiveness of those treatments as the energy naturally flows into the recipient when you are practicing other treatments, but it also relaxes yet energises the therapist at the same time- protecting the therapist from taking on the negative energies from the client which are released during the treatment.

It rebalances and replenishes depleted energy levels. Reiki is a very soothing, reassuring and comforting treatment. Enhancing self-esteem and self-confidence, allowing you to reconnect to your inner source and path in life. A truly uplifting experience.
